This course will give individuals and couples who are planning for retirement the tools necessary to make informed decisions about their financial future. Students will be better prepared to choose when to take Social Security and Medicare, reduce tax outlay, preserve assets, fight the effects of inflation, identify common pitfalls and misconceptions regarding retirement, and generate an income strategy that will last their lifetime.

Social Security

Many people undervalue the effect social security has on their overall retirement plan. Choosing when and how to take social security can be the difference between running out of money before running out of time.

Medicare Part A, B, C, D and Medigap are all topics that need to be explored and explained in order to make the best choice for you and your family

Cole Garcia is co-founder and Board Member of the California Institute for Financial Literacy a regional not for profit organization supporting local students in need of financial assistance.

Cole is President of a local Registered Investment Advisory Firm specializing in income and retirement planning.  He has taught thousands of individuals with his unique style and has given hundreds of classes, workshops, and speeches throughout California including Yuba College, Cal Lutheran University, William Jessup University, and Beale Air Force Base.

Cole has been a guest on the Mark Montgomery Show broadcast on 1380 KTKZ as well as a contributing columnist for the Oroville Mercury Register.

Cole currently resides in Oroville with his wife and three children and when he is not working he enjoys fishing, camping, and being with his family. He is President of his local Toastmasters Club and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

 

 

 

Scott Marcoux is co-founder and Board Member of the California Institute for Financial Literacy a regional not for profit organization supporting local students in need of financial assistance.

Mr. Marcoux is Financial Advisor and Registered Representative with MML Financial Services, Inc. Member of FINRA & SIPC. Scott is an expert in legacy, estate, and protection planning and has trained independent financial advisors and insurance agents around the country.

Scott’s unique ability to communicate using a wide variety of easy to understand techniques has been featured at dozens of retirement planning workshops and insurance conferences and he has been a guest speaker on The Mark Montgomery Show featured on 1380 KTKZ.

Scott lives in Roseville with his wife and daughter and has been an active part of the community since 1985. Scott is currently a member of the Sierra College Alumni Association and the Chamber of Commerce.
